Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 May 2018 Colour Name: DECO 01 Verified Purchase Build of the tablet is nice and light, its pen is passive, slim(tad thicker than a regular pencil) and very light to hold though has a cheap feel. The buttons on the tablet are very solid and tactile although somewhat difficult to find due to the small surface area, the pen's buttons however are mushy and very cheap feeling. The tablet is USB-C powered with an L-shaped connector which makes it easy to The driver is easy to install and quite stable, it has a the ability to remap the pen and tablet buttons to keystrokes/hotkeys, mouse buttons, additionally the tablet buttons can be set on a per-application basis. There is also a pressure ramp that sets how every program will react to the pen's pressure which is quite nice. However, there are a couple glaring issues which caused me to send back the item, first off is the pressure sensitivity, although the device advertises that it has 8192 levels of pressure I personally find that very hard to believe from my experience using the device. Using a simple app I wrote to output the pressure I found the Deco01 was inaccurate, and had fewer discrete levels of pressure than a old Wacom, and the Ugee M708 which only has 2048 levels of pressure, leading me to believe the unit I received most likely had 1024 or possibly lower levels of pressure. I conducted this test with the driver installed and again with no driver installed and the result was the same. (Contact me if you wish to use the app to compare your tablet also) Secondly, the force in which I have to apply to reach anything above ~45% of its total pressure output feels like I'm almost breaking the pen, needless to say its NOT a good feeling at all and completely takes me out of my flow. To mitigate this I had to scale the pressure ramp in the driver so that 25% outputs as 50%, and 50% outputs as 100% inclusive, so realistically speaking only half if its advertised "8192 levels of pressure" is actually usable without feeling like you're about to break the pen. Another issue I encountered, and certainly one of the most aggravating ones is the pen's side buttons, pressing any of them caused the cursor to jump anywhere up to 2cm downwards at random, making using tools like eyedropper almost impossible. This seems to be a fault in the relatively-new passive technology of the product, as other battery-powered Ugee devices doesn't have this bug. (fyi Ugee is the manufacture for most tablets that aren't Wacom, such as the Pablo and XP-Pen range, including the Deco01). Additionally the surface of the tablet scratches very easily from the pen, even light strokes under 10% cause a streak to be left behind. For the couple days I used it the surface was still smooth, however it doesn't seem likely the surface would remain uniform and smooth after months of use. At £60 there is really no excuse for these issues, especially when compared to the £30 Ugee M708, which has none of these issues and feels like a more premium product. The only thing I prefer about the Deco01 over the M708 is the adjustable pressure ramp, lightweight driver, and smooth surface(easily remedied by a £2 10" matte screen protector). Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 December 2018 Colour Name: DECO 01 Verified Purchase I like to spend a lot of time photo editing and find the using a mouse causes lots of wrist pain. This, however provides totally pain free editing experience, even with arthritic fingers...Yes I,m an old crock! Despite the fact that my pc knowledge is limited, the concise instructions for loading the drivers enabled straighforward instalation, and a little trial and error got it set up to my needs. Time will tell how reliable it will be,but so far am overjoyed. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 February 2019 Colour Name: DECO 01 Verified Purchase This item is absolutely outstanding especially due to its price range. Theres a big area for me to work own on this tablet to use in Photoshop for my photography and have no problems with downloading there latest drivers on the X pen website. The pen it comes with how ever is extremely light and feels a bit cheap, the buttons on the pen feel slack but you can easily get used to it, well i have anyways, the tablet is suitable as well for both right and left handed people which is a bonus and the software has functionalities to assign different buttons both on the pen and tablet. P.S if your using photoshop i advise you keep it own for atleast 30 secounds before using for some reason the buttons on the pen stop functioning properly if you rush, apart from this i highly recommend this too beginners. 4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic device with easy installation This item is absolutely outstanding especially due to its price range. Images in this review Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 August 2018 Colour Name: Star03 Black Verified Purchase I use this drawing tablet on a PC running Windows 10, with Inkscape, Zbrush Core, Gimp, Krita, etc. Plug and Play, and not had a problem with compatibility yet. The work area is a decent size and the battery-free pen is great. A must have addition for ANY drawing tablet is also a drawing tablet glove, otherwise hand sticks to surface a bit in the hot weather. A+++ from me. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 December 2018 Colour Name: Star03 Black Verified Purchase Like some have said, it was a a little flddly to install because Win 10 always wants to set up devices/drivers for you. You need to disable this function, and download the latest drivers from XP-Pen's website rather than use the CD that comes with the Tablet. Once installed correctly, the tablet worked as it should and I was easily able to set it up to my liking. Its an excellent piece of kit and a very reasonable price, so one cannot expect this to have ALL the bells and whistles of a much more expensive tablet. It does what I want though, and I am very happy with its performance, look and feel. Reviews with images

The Wacom tablet (also from Amazon) was faulty and Wacom were unable to help me with it.
Thus resorted to Amazon for something to replace it.
So many others from which to choose. It is worth reading the reviews of them all and sort out the truly critical reviews which had genuine problems.
A few negative reviews of the Star 03 seemed to hinge on the driver faults, (which I had with the Wacom ones too), so decided to risk it.
Very pleased I did as this is a good quality item with simple configuration and easy-to-follow instructions in a hard copy manual.
It is very customisable and quite simple to adjust the amount of the tablet surface one wishes to use.
The work area is generous if one wishes to use it all but, as stated, it is simple to adjust this to suit personal preferences.
Early days but I like the feel of it very much.

Very disappointing as in all other respects the tablet seems good. It does not offer as much control or precision as a Wacom I feel, but the surface becoming so rough after such a short time means that I am regretting my purchase. I should have returned it.

Windows installed a driver automatically and there is a handy utility in the Notification Area (near the clock on taskbar) which allows you to choose monitor to work with, if like me you have two or more monitors; button customisation; scope; hot cells.
